Default Ion Pairing reagent

Hello, I am relatively new to LC-MS, but I am looking for an ion pairing reagent that is compatible with negative mode ESI. I have heard that using TBA will be really bad for my signal, and possibly lead to more problems later with the mass spec.

What I am thinking is Dipropylammonium acetate. But the thing is, 10mL of a diluted solution of this costs about 20 bucks, but I can get a liter of Dipropylamine for 40 bucks, so can I just mix this 50/50 with Acetic acid and dilute with water?
