| Hi! I don't have experience in this matter, but I need to know what is the rule of TFA in the preparation pf sample for MALDI. Can influence it in the sensitivity? And the matrix? can influence it in the senditivity? Thank you very much! |

| I use TFA (~0.25%) in sample prep before maldi, both in wash and elution solutions for peptides from 96-well solid-phase extraction plates. The percent I use is considered low 0.25%, you can go as high as 1%TFA, but it will most likely be overkill. Here is a reference: It has a lot of details on how TFA affects MALDI-MS. To many little rules to remember. "Influence of Matrix Solution Conditions on the MALDI-MS Analysis of Peptides and Proteins" --> [Only registered users see links. ] |
