Measuring protein concentration after adding SDS sample buffer Hi all, I am doing the immunoprecipitation of secreted proteins from the culture medium and I was also able to capture my protein of interest but I am unable to quantify the protein amount as I mix the agarose beads with the 2xSDS sample buffer and boil it.Can any one lemme know how I can measure the protein concentration after adding sample buffer? Thank You |
Re: Measuring protein concentration after adding SDS sample buffer Check out Reducing Agent Compatible Protein Quantitation Kits Pierce is excellent, with compatibilities up to 5% SDS (regular kit) and 10% SDS (Reducing Agent compatible kit. -link to the comparison chart---> [Only registered and activated users can see links. Re: Measuring protein concentration after adding SDS sample buffer Would the cheapest way be to run out the same amounts of all your samples and do a western and use a densitometer? I'm new to this stuff but thought I put that out there. |
