Immunoprecipitation (IP)

I am learning to do IP for protein-protein interactions, but my proteins are on the plasma membrane. How can I get the proteins without sonication the cells for the lysates? which IP buffer is suitable for that purpose.

In our lab we lyse cells in 6 well plates with NETN buffer and protease inhibitors in that mix and add 500ul of the mixture into each well and scrape cells off, spin for 10 minutes and save supernatant and add to AB.
