| Hi everyone! I'm interested in staining dead cells in their cell culture before fixing them. I have the LiveDead cell kit from Invitrogen which stains dead cells but Im not sure if the stained cells can be fixed and if they can how and also keep the red fluorescence after the fixation step? ANy tips anyone can give me or other methods I should try? Thanks |

| Propidium Iodide is a good fluorescent dye for staining dead cells, but you will need a rhodamine filter to view or quantify the dead cells. Trypan Blue is another alternative |
