DMSO Containers

Hi,

I'm a new member and I have a question about DMSO. I've been using 99.9% DMSO in heavy white plastic bottles for years, but recently all the internet chatter about glass vs. plastic has me concerned.
I called DMSO Inc. Ghent KY, (the stuff I've been using), and was told that they sell both plastic and glass. She said their Plastic is 'special' and that DMSO won't leach the chemicals out, nor will the chemicals contaminate the DMSO.

I thought . . . if what the lady told me was true, then why sell glass? Since I failed chemistry 101, can someone please confirm this, and tell me how to tell if small colored plastic spray bottles from the pharmacy are o.k. for DMSO, or do I need to buy 'special' (?) plastic or glass.

I've seen DMSO in plastic bottles, too. However, the presentation with higher purity come in amber glass bottles. I would recommend you use amber glass bottles over plastic. I don't think they could be expensive.
