| Genome Code Cracked For Breast And Colon Cancers Johns Hopkins researchers from the Kimmel Cancer Center have finally completed the first draft of the genetic code for breast and colon cancers. The report was published online in the September 7 issue of Science, and identifies almost 200 genes which are mutated, and are now this linked to breast and colon cancers. The vast majority of these genes were not previously recognized to be associated with tumor initiation, growth, spread or control. Quite novel and interesting. A must read |
