Honestly, minaras seems to have put a lot of effort into this thread. Why don't we start a new thread? Since this exchange is likely to deviate from the original posts. Seems like the polite thing.

i dont think microbes are conscious are they? u need a nervous system for that. but they do respond to stimuli though. damn now I'm confused
