On my chemistry lesson I had this sort of exercise:
Make the balance in this reduction-oxydation reacition:
K2CrO4(aq) + C3H7OH + HCL ---> CrCl3(aq) + C2H5CHO + H2O + KCl(aq)

This equation is wrong: Chromate cannot coexist with acids like
aqueous hydrogen chloride. Tell your chemistry teacher that he must
use dichromate.
