Default Methyl donors

Hi
I'm a complete newbie and this is something i've been trying to find out for ages.
What are the methyl donors for DNA methylation? I mean where does the methyl come from?
I'm aware of the dietary factors and drug metabolites and the basic molecular pathways involved (s-adenosymethionine and whatnot) but i'm wondering about methyl group recyling and anywhere else it might come from.
I find the whole area a bit vague in the literature.

Can anyone help, please?
