Yes, there are some mines that have become turistic spots here in Mexico. I particulary recommend the mines in Zacatecas. Back in the old days they used to mine silver. They are out of the mining business nowadays, though.

By the way, Zacatecas is located not so far from Mexico city (the capital of Mexico), 2 or so hours of travel.
