| Natural drainage systems start to meander once a stream channel carries enough water volume for velocity differences in the water outflow to develop. That's why 3rd, 4th, and higher order streams start to meander.. Force = mass x acceleration: Inflow/outflow = vertical cross sectional Area x velocity. |
