Which of the following is a way of understanding the world based on science?
A) tradition B) theology C) positivism D) free will
This is a strange question, presumably one written by a student in a philosophy class rather than in a science class. None of the answers is very good. The correct answer is empiricism. That is, through observation and construction of scientific theories that explain the observations.
