how does Drosophila commonly die?
 

Hi,
I have just started working with Drosophila in a lifespan study. I am keeping them in vials and I have noticed that they often get stuck upside down on their wings on the surface of the media and move their legs around until they die. Is this a common way for them to die? I have seen insects in the wild do the same thing.
