Default About the genetic background!

Hi everybody,

I meet some trouble about the genetic background.

Q1: How to do the backcross to build the same genetic
background? By balancer?

Q2: Does the "marked with the white" mean that the
flies are backcrossed into the white background? What
is the marker?

Thanks a lot!

Best regard,

Beika Lu
