Default DNA Cleanup from Drosophila

Hi all,
I need to cleanup my DNA constructs to be used for Drosophila fly embryo injections.

I found out that I need to phenol-chloroform cleanup the DNA after maxi/mini preps because the DNA columns introduce a substance which interferes with fly embryo development.

My inital DNA that I have was maxi-preped and is at around 300ng/ul. With 60/80 of 1.8. so its not that bad... but what do you guys think?

Default Re: DNA Cleanup from Drosophila

The injection company we use asks for midi-maxi prep quality DNA -- we usually send them Qiagen Midiprep kit-prepared DNA and rarely have a problem.

That said, a phenol-chloroform extraction can't hurt.
