Non-Radioactive Southern Blot Probes

Hi,
I've been using Alpha-P32 dCTP to radio-label my probes. I want to switch to non-radio-active labeling. Any help on that?

Hello Fatima,
yes there are several non-radioactive methods to label probes. I found the best to be the biotin probe method ie 16-biotin-CTP.

Also the best kit for visualization with biotin would be the Pierce Lightshift kit.

Hello,
Roche has some good s-50/s-500 sephadex for non-radioactive probe purification. Roche also carries the biotin-utp biotin-ctp etc.
