 DNA Not Entering Agarose Gel Hiya, im having some problems after I digest the plasmid after ligation. The DNA not entering the gel upon agarose gels upon electrophoresis. even with a 0.6% gel agarose low percentage it still occurs!  confused        |

 Re: DNA Not Entering Agarose Gel Two major considerations: Electrophoresis buffer---could be old and lost effectiveness. DNA fragments size and concentration--too much DNA can "stick" in the sample wells and not migrate. One minor consideration: Are the Restriction enzymes working? |

| Re: DNA Not Entering Agarose Gel When taking pictures of my agarose gels, sometimes the light will shine in a way that makes my wells look bright, even though there's no DNA there. Are you certain that you're loading enough DNA to visualize in the gel? |
