Default Trouble shoot the ladder error


Anyone can help me trouble shoot the error from this gel imaging...the left hand side of the image is the lamda DNA ladder, but it appears in smear...why?

do tell us more regarding the percent of the gel prepare. and do you have the catalog number of the ladder mentioned?
