Is HLA paternity testing accurate from a system updated 10/91. system HLA alleged father mother child Possible Paternal Genes A 2,29 A 24,28 A 2,28 A2-B18 B 41,62 B 37,53 B 18,53 Calculations AF white RM white (that father us mixed something) (I'm mixed great grandfather is black) HLA Table Terasaki, updated 10/91, = 5528 System X Y X/Y Pheno Freq, AF HLA 0 0.004597 0 0.0021 Combinded Values x 0 y 0.004597 PI=x/y 0 Phenotype freq, alleged father 0.0021% does this show there were 2 exculisions or just the one and futher testing may have been needed, I was under the impression it was a dna test not and outdated test I was paying for. Please help me so I know if I need to have the DNA test done I read this alone is only 80% unless 2 exculsions. |

| Hello there, welcome to the forums ![]() That is a difficult question to ask and depends on the lab that performs the test, and as with any test there are possibilities for error (sample mixup, result mixup, human error etc). There is a quick read here: http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/pag...66&pageindex=1 Which basically mentions that ABO and RHO in addition to HLA is the basis for most accurate tests. Having HLA alone means that the test is much less exclusive. There may be more people in here that can better answer your question ![]() |
