 Best method or kit for DNA extraction from bovine sperm ?? hi, I always have problem with DNA extraction from bovine sperm , most of kits are used for animal cell and tissue don't work for sperm and I cant get a good result. in addition I have used phenol-chloroform method too, but I usually visualize smear with DNA band in agarose gel! if anyone have experience or information let me know and help me : so what is the best method for high purity and quality DNA extraction from bovine sperm? and anyone have idea about modifying iNtron animal cell &tissue kit(cat no#14071) for sperm? i apologize for my bad english and im really thanksfull of anyone can help me best regard  |

 Re: Best method or kit for DNA extraction from bovine sperm ?? Hi I will be using the Qiagen "DNeasy blood and tissue kit" for extraction from animal sperm. There is some "user developed protocol" on their web site you can check out. I think that for sperm cells you need to use DTT to break the disulfide bonds. Best regards. |
