 RNAse treatement necessary??need suggestions Hi guys i have extracted genomic DNA from various cell lines....kit i used had an optional step for RNAse treatment that i skipped. after taking OD at Nanodrop...i got a good yield about 350 ng/ul but the ratio of 260/280 is around 2.05, indicating presence of RNA in my genomic DNA sample. I have to use this genomic DNA for PCR amplification ( 700 Bp) ..so should i proceed with it?? let me know if i will face problems later on.... Reply Thnx Maudaha Edit/Delete Message  |

| Re: RNAse treatement necessary??need suggestions It is adivisable to give RNAse treatment before proceeding for PCR since then it becomes very clumsy in gel and since your target is 700bp. Hope this solves your problem please free to ask. |

| Re: RNAse treatement necessary??need suggestions yes it is good to give RNase treatment before PCR otherwise RNA will hinder in gel and You will RNA smear in lower side of gel |
