| Hi again sorry for the many questions, we transport the leaves the field to the lab in bags and these are then saved into a cold box. What i know is that when the leaves are removed from the tree, degradativee enzymes start degrading the plant cells and damaging DNA. is there a better way to transport the samples? thanks ![]() |

| Hi again, I have transported samples including leaves and seeds from field to the lab even taking more than 3 hours. This was without having any negative problems on DNA quality of the samples. I kept my samples in a cool box but i would if possible, make sure you get a small portable container for liquid nitrogen and small plastic bags. What you can do is seal the leaves after you clean them in the bags. Then just label the sample, and place it into the liquid nitrogen portable container. The liquid nitrogen portable container was better but the cool box is ok too. |
