Default neat things to look at under a microscope?

i have a USB microscope (10x, 60x, 200x) but unfortunately no slides. anyone have ideas for things to look at or ways to "make" slides and coverslides somehow? the microscope also comes with software which allows me to "make a movie" of what i'm capturing. all feedback appreciated. thanks

it may seem gross but blood, hair, skin cells, fur, even simple things like tape or a microchip which can be easily found by disecting a floppy disk

it seems kinda gross to me but i also always thought it would be cool to look at a taste-bud under a microscope.

hair, ants, grass, skin cells, paper, fingernail clippings... see through things you could find. There are endless items to list.

well... without a slide there really isn't much you can look at under a microscope. the reason you have a slide in the first place is to hold whatever your looking at steading and keep it in focus. just go down to any lab supply store and get a box of slides, they should only cost like $5-15 bucks a box. make sure you get some slide screens that look like little square plastice windows. that helps to keep everything flat against the slide.
but if you're looking for something cool to look at under your microscope, then the possibilities are endless. the coolest thing i've ever seen was plaque from teeth. just scape a small sample from your teeth, smear on the slide, add water and a small slide screen, and look. you should be able to see little worm like bacteria that wiggle and move around in the water. very gross, but at least it motivates you to brush your teeth
