Hi all, I was using RP HPLC for carbohydrates separation. I used to get a solvent peak ahead of the analytes. Now, all of a sudden, the solvent peak got inversed. I dont know why. Can someone help me out of this. Thanks in advance.

Please read inverse peaks as Negative peak.

carbohydrates separation? witch is your detector? RI detection? the solvent peak may be due to the injection sample is different (different solvent mixture), if the sample is prepared in other condition that could be OK but it is always a good idea to dope it to control that everything is OK. beware also negative peaks in my experience are usually related to bubles or problems with the detector lamp (UV detectors) but when that happens is phenomen along all the chromatogram not only for the injection peak
