Re: What is involved in absorption of ink by blotting paper? Hi Yeshin there are very tiny capillaries present due to fibers in blotting papers which absorb quickly low viscosity liquids however its take time to absorb liquids with high viscosity. The structure of blotting paper is quite helpful for this purpose as far as i know. A small diameter capillary used to suck liquid due to low pressure inside it than outside. |
