Default Cytoplasm transcription- help needed to demonstrate this

I have a plasmid, I want to demonstrate that the plasmid that I have is transcribed in the cytoplasm. The plasmid has its own replicase and allows replication in the cytoplasm. Can anyone suggest a protocol that I can demonstrate how I can show cytoplasmic transcransription of the plasmid... Any help would be greatfully appreciated.. Kind of scratching my head on this one..

Single-dimensional elctrophorosis for your target protein may be OK. Use the non-containning target plasmid bacterial strain/cell/tissue as control. At the site of your protein band, you may see a much more expression level.
