Credibility of a company called Stemgent

Stemgent hired an international employee by promising him working visa sponsorship. Just two weeks before the visa application deadline(after he worked there for over six months), they fired him without giving him a warning, without giving him a specific reason. Is this just coincidence or Stemgent has totally taken advantage of international employees? If all American companies have “credibility” as Stemgent does, how could we expect the economy of this country to get better?

This international employee happens to be a friend of mine. I will never purchase anything from company with such “credibility”.
