Default Immunoblot after ChIP

Hi,
I want to perform a western blot after I eluate the protein of interest in the ChIP procedure. The protein is still fixed to DNA, so how can I reverse the cross-link without destroying the Protein? Or can I perform a western blot without reversing the link and the protein will only be a little heavier?

Have you seen your protein after IP?

The crosslink doesn't change the protein molecular weight if you run SDS PAGE. I checked protein after crosslink.

I have tried western blot after IP, but got dirty background (I boiled beads).
