Default The differences between between industrial grade magnesium chloride and food grade

1. The production process of industrial grade and food grade magnesium chloride are different: Food grade magnesium chloride is made on the basis of industrial grade magnesium chloride production to be refined.
2. The product standards of industrial grade and food grade magnesium chloride are different:
1). In the sulfate of the content, the food industrial grade magnesium chloride requirement is less than or equal to 0.4%, but the industrial grade magnesium chloride requirement is less than or equal to 1% to 2.8%.
2). In the lead of the content, the food industrial grade magnesium chloride requirement is less than or equal to 1mg/Kg, but the industrial grade magnesium chloride do not have any requirement.
3). In the arsenic of the content, the food industrial grade magnesium chloride requirement is less than or equal to 0.5mg/Kg, but the industrial grade magnesium chloride do not have any requirement.
4). In the ammonium of the content, the food industrial grade magnesium chloride requirement is less than or equal to 50mg/Kg, but the industrial grade magnesium chloride also do not have any requirement.
3. The application of industrial grade and food grade magnesium chloride are different:
Food grade magnesium chloride can be used as food additive for soybean production, and industrial grade magnesium chloride can only used in industrial fields, such as: it can be used to produce other chemical products, can be used as the production of floor tiles, sanitary ware deicing salt and agricultural fertilizer raw materials.
Therefore, we should be careful in the selection process of soy and Exidia auricula Judaes, while the business in the selection of Magnesium Chloride as a food additive should also attach importance to its authenticity and quality!

At present, there are some unscrupulous traders with industrial grade Magnesium Chloride instead of food grade Magnesium Chloride, and for use in food. For example: Some of them use industrial Magnesium Chloride for instead of edible Magnesium Chloride in the production of soy products, to achieve the purpose of reducing costs. The others use industrial Magnesium Chloride for soaking Exidia auricula Judaes, after soaking, the Exidia auricula Judae flower become very big, bacterial leaves hypertrophy, sensory is very good, and the weight can increase 2~3 times.

The industrial grade magnesium chloride is usually used for chemicals industry, building materials, metallurgy, machinery, transportation, medicine and agriculture and many other industries. Edible magnesium chloride can be used as food additives for the production of soy products as a stabilizer or a coagulant.

Magnesium chloride is also named brine, it is make up by the salt water of seawater the residue of the mother liquor in the salt pond. The main ingredients of brine are magnesium chloride, calcium sulfate, calcium chloride and sodium chloride, the brine tastes bitter and is poisonous.
