hi all! i hope to be clear explaning my problem.
in lab i have to recongnize an uknown salt. the salt i have to recognize is white soluble and has pH=7. the cation is Ba2+. now i want to find the anion by findinig reductants or oxidings anion. i add H2SO4 to my solution and before adding KMnO4 in the solution i see a white precipitate. is it sulfate or thiosulfate? what should i do to recognize this anion?
