Default What is that Material that Toy Rubber Animals are made of (very soft, elastic ones)

Hello everybody,

Iīm really desperate. For a personal Project I need to create a tip of a Pen with a very elastic Rubber. It is a rubber I know from many toys. very elastic, very soft and it goes back to itīs inicial form directly after the preassure you put on it with a finger is gone. Itīs a little bit like these animals you can throw at windows, that climb/roll down afterwards but just a little more stiffer than that. You can even put hard preassure on it and it comes through the tiny wholes of fabric and goes back to its form afterwards. Itīsunbelievable elastic and needs only small pressure to get deformed.

I searched the whole internet and found the words "Thermoplastic elastomere" but Iīm not sure if this is the right material.

Does anybody know whatīs the real name of the above discribed material?
Where can I buy it? Is it possible to get it in a liquid form so I can cast it into a casting mould drilled into a plastic cube? Or is it a granulate that needs to be heated and then casted? Or can I even buy these rubber toy animals and put heat on it to make it get luquid?

I searched the whole internet, but couldnīt find anything that discribes it. I even tried special effects mask shops for movies, but no luck.

I really, really thank you for your help.

cheers
G.Frey
