| I think Neon John's post was the result of having had OSHA and the other government protective agencies thrown in his face from time to time and he is sick of it and responded accordingly. I am shocked at the positive response the denizens of the ng have posted in this series on the use of formaldehyde. I did not realize that you were all so damn ecologically minded. Fact is none of you, with one or two exceptions, knows a damn thing about formaldehyde except what you have been told by OSHA...a misbegotten government agency if there ever was one. You should have been there, at the many meetings, when they drew up these regulations. They were publicly announced and I was there. It was a sight to behold how, in acts of legal conspiracy, when regulators together with big business, saw to it that these regs were written in such a way that the self-employed and small companies were to be ****ed over preferentially, by large minimum-charges for permits and high compliance costs,......a move designed to drive out and stifle competition by start-ups and smaller employers. Another tactic was to write the regs in such a confusing fashion that small companies have/had to hire enviro and safety consultants who of course were moon-lighting- or ex-regulators. The enviro/safety situation is so now sickly paranoid and so badly out of touch with reality that neither "environment" nor "worker safety" was mentioned at all in Bush's 2004 State of the Union address and NEITHER was there any mention of it in the rebuttals by the democrats. Where are all the crippled and dead bodies from the massacres of/by these non green conditions and non safe places which have spawned these regulations? 99% of these regs are nothing but justifications to extort permit charges and user-fees. One can find only self-serving studies for POTENTIALS of dangers, a convenient scam to keep the regus' job's, their salary increases, bonuses and now fat their pensions. ** And naturally, the litigating farts, the lawyers, cheer with glee! ** Strangely enough, as you have noticed Tom, most Ligis of the "regulated community" side with the regus, thus enabling their green safety masters to keep on ****ing them, while watching in disbelief how and why all this OUT SOURCING is occurring with/from and by unexpected ripple effects! Now, watch the responses to this post. There will be Ligis or regus who'll blame it all on Bush, despite what I said in the 4th para above.....ahahaha.. So, Tom in order to honor you as a man with backbone and common sense I will repost the gems of the catechism of green philosophy which originated and has bought us into this brave new world of green and UNsafe pan-paranoia: *** start: Quotes from leading environmental leaders *** "We have to offer up scary scenarios, make simplified, dramatic statements, and make little mention of any doubts we may have. Each of us has to decide what the right balance is between being effective and being honest." - Stephen Schneider (Stanford professor who first sought fame as a global cooler, but has now hit the big time as a global warmer) "It doesn't matter what is true ... it only matters what people believe is true ... You are what the media define you to be. Greenpeace became a myth, and a myth-generating machine." -- Paul Watson, co/founder of Greenpeace and Sea Shepard "A lot of environmental messages are simply not accurate. But that's the way we sell messages in this society. We use hype." -- Dr. Jerry Franklin, Ecologist, Univ.of Washington "If you don't know an answer, a fact, a statistic, then .... make it up on the spot ... for the mass-media today ... the truth is irrelevant." -- Paul Watson in Earthforce: An Earth Warrior's Guide to Strategy. "A global climate treaty must be implemented even if there is no scientific evidence to back the greenhouse effect." -- Richard Benedict, an employee for the State Department working on assignment for the Conservation Foundation "We already have too much economic growth in the United States. Economic growth in rich countries like ours is the disease, not the cure." -- Paul Elrich, Stanford U biologist and Advisor to Vice President Gore "We in the Green movement, aspire to a cultural model in which the killing of a forest will be considered more contemptible and more criminal than the sale of 6-year-old children to Asian brothels." -- Carl Amery, Green Party of West Germany "I got the impression that instead of going out to shoot birds, I should go out and shoot the kids who shoot birds." -- Paul Watson, founder of Greenpeace and Sea Shepherd -----***** end: Quotes from environmental leaders *****----- ........ all the Ligis and other green mutts may bark in their green misanthropic and anti-patriotic hatred until they are biliverdin-green all over, but **** These enviro-creationist quotes will not go away. ***** Greenies should revere these quotes for they are their gospel. Don't deny them. Be proud of them. They are, after all, the Green equivalent of the Red manifesto or Hitler's "Mein Kampf". The green ilk's strenuous and pathetic efforts to burry them, is reminiscent of the Nazis who claimed not to have known how evil their leaders and their systems were and copping the same plea of "just following orders". Environmentalism is the same ideology. Environmentalism is just the green version of reviled social pathologies like BROWN with red and green or RED with brown and green tints. Face the facts: Nowadays the enviros certainly do have problems, a) because the people caught onto their game of green turdry, that === Environmentalism is just a despicable, evil money (green) game, === === without any redeeming value, nor any intent to save anything. The right wing, conservatives, have an equal if not bigger number of green turds amongst them, then the lefties do. Turdism/Turdry begins when principally noble ideas are exploited for personal gain. The perversion of the noble goals begins as soon as the old adage to riches is introduced and applied: ********* "Find a need and fill it" ********* Modern, current turdism is so vile because the bastards, the green shits expanded it successfully into ********* "Create a fear and feed off it". ********* But, all you enviro turds, turdlets and turdlings, remember, ......you can strike fear into some people for all the time. you can even strike fear into all people for some time. I agree with you but all the cancer agencies have designated formaldehyde a carcinogen and governments have come down hard on it. I call it today's "political science". If you had a port-a-potty at a construction site using formaldehyde, you would actually have to monitor the concentration of formaldehyde in the air to make sure it is below the TVL. In California you would have to put a sticker on the door that says port-a-potty contains a substance known to the state of California to cause cancer ;( Frank |
