I agree with the 'one month' estimate.

I would add, however, that the tanks are also DOT regulated shipping
containers ([Only registered users see links. ]) and I think the gauges are required
to be working, not just decorative plugs.

Depending on which gauge you're referring to, it might even be part of
the safety system on the tank. I guess high volume customers don't
worry about it as much but as a low volume customer you might want
to tell your sales rep that you require tanks with working gauges. Tell
your receiving room people to tell the delivery guy to make sure to unload
a tank with working gauges or decline the shipment.

(This assumes you're in an area where the truck carries lots of tanks for
several customers and can swap them around if needed.)
