It's insoluble in most liquids, but
will form an amalgam with tin and
mercury.

The solubility of diphenhydramine HCl is ~1 gram in 1 mL of water. That's
fairly soluble.

If your thinking about making amphetamines you can forget about it.In
order to make amphetamine from that particular substance requires a
labratory procedure that no street chemist can manipulate due to the
fact of lack of proper equiptment to carry out animation.

You could use a phenyl amine(amino acid) and try to reduce it then
treat it with a hydrocarbon and react it with HCl.When that is done
wash the crystals with acetone

Nitrate the amphetamine with nitric acid or nitric oxide to get your
amphetamine
