| Biochemist/Enzymologist - San Diego, CA A client's Lead Discovery Department, located in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Senior Biochemist/Enzymologist. Here is more information: The primary duties will include testing project compounds in order to help develop structure-activity relationships for small molecule inhibitors coming out of their drug discovery efforts. Additional duties include mechanism of action studies of small molecule leads on their target enzymes/proteins. You will lead a group of about 3 scientists and will be required to interface with other department members as well as various project teams with in the company. Requirements are a Ph.D. in biochemistry with a strong emphasis in enzymology and 2-3 years postdoctoral experience, preferably in a drug discovery environment. Experience working in a project team environment is a plus as is prior supervisory experience.
