| 1. What is the mass of the solid NH4Cl formed when 73.0g of NH3 are mixed with an equal mass of HCl? What is the volume of the gas remaining, measured at 14*C and 752mmHg? What gas is it? 2. A piece of sodium metal reacts completely with water as follows: 2Na (s) + 2H2O --> 2NaOH (aq) +H2 (g) The hydrogen gas generated is collected over water at 25*C. The volume of the gas is 246mL measured at 1 atm. Calculate the number of grams of sodium used in the reaction. (Vapor pressure of water at 25*C=0.0313 atm) Thanks! |
