I'd say yes. Trace levels of potassium or calcium can greatly
increase the chance of microbial growth in distilled water. Now, the
iodine ion could also be a micronutrient. I suppose microsidal
activity is associated with free iodine in water, not the anion, but I
could be all wrong there.
Please remember that your distilled water contains enough orgainic
material to support microbes, it's the lack of trace elements that
keeps it clean for a few weeks.
