I am looking for information on creating silver nanoparticle solutions.
I want to create a solution (preferably silver colloids on the order of
10-50 nm in size suspended an alcohol solution) that can be sintered to
I have read that colloidal silver solutions can be generated through
electrolysis with a silver electrode, what are other methods? How well
can particle size be controlled when using electrolysis?
I am aware of a few companies that sell solutions similar to this,
notably PredMaterials ([Only registered users see links. ]) and Harima Chemicals
([Only registered users see links. ]), but what they offer is very expensive (On the order
of $500 for 10 grams of solution which is 10% silver by weight).
Does anyone have any input on the creation of such a solution or
possibly a cheaper supplier?
