physics.
It is a substance that kills the nuclear fission reaction. Read any good

on nuclear reactors. This usage is equivalent to the common use of the word
'poison', a substance that kills one who ingests it.


It is. Boron-10 has an enormous appetite for neutrons, and its presence in
a
nuclear reaction will kill the reaction, dead.


There you go off with some nonsense meaning of 'poison'. You may as well
substitute 'chocolate cake' for 'poison', it will be just as meaningful.
