| Today's New York Times, the newspaper, has, on page B1 an example question from a controversial Regent's examination in physics. The question posed looks like this: Note that question 22 has only three choices. 22 The diagram below shows a wire moving to the right at a speed v through a uniform magnetic field that is directed into the page. Wire || X || X X X || X || X X X || X || X X X || Magnetic field directed into the page As the speed of the wire is increased, the induced potetial difference will (1) decrease (2) increase (3) remain the same The correct answer is, of course, (2), which I had correctly selected. Simply stated: I win. On another topic, from the great city of New York, this laser-printed message apparently placed on or around a disposal area or container: "Only office trash that you will not be taking to the new office!" All together now...let's haul our trash to a new office at the company's expense! Sounds like the Bush administration strategy, doesn't it? Mark (Coupled masses fall as coupled masses, right?) |

| Steve Turner <[Only registered users see links. ].net> wrote in message news:<[Only registered users see links. ]>. .. "Real"...really? You must be a physicist...how did we get from "our trash" to old trash"...quantum bumbling? Mark (Bush now counts Romania as a friend...lucky guy. Blair has a corpse to deal with -- we've done the same...who was that guy...Casey? And that Clinton White House attorney.... Anyone eventually swing for those deals? Maybe there should be a Constitutional amendment requiring an incoming president to post a performance bond prior to taking office and responsibility for all that happens appurtenent thereto :-) |
