Hmmm..is that because chemists won't even acknowledge the
accountants as smart enough to associate?

This is a serious question. How easy is it for a lawyer in a
different field, say in criminal law right now, to get into
intellectual property laws?

Than women would be hitting on him.

Not all women are like that, you know?

Amanda: Here is some advice that worked for my wife. When she was 22
she joined a west coast research organization as librarian. She
car-pooled to work with an older more experienced secretary. The
secretary told her to try to meet one of the engineers -- it didn't
make much difference which one -- they're all about the same.

Well that worked. She found me and we were married in 1961!

Since this thread has revived, what are the
uses of lutidine and hexyl sulfide?

We put a little drop behind the ear after we shower, so people can
still tell we're chemists.

usually my hair has been worse than my smell...
is my chemical expertise fading away?

and what about physicists and biologists, how
to tell each one?

Dear J,
Theoretical physicists are hard to tell from mathematicians. Experimental
physicists tend to have working gadgets kept in repair--like coo coo clocks.
When a former boyfriend switched from experimental to theoretical
physics---his coo coo clock stopped working.

That didn't answer my question: was the secreatry the lucky one to get
the engineer or was the engineer the lucky one to get *that*
secretary?

Now it's switch-hitting comparison shopping she wants...

But I think the convention is to assume a win-win, both sides lucky,
situation. The nut doesn't fit the bolt without the bolt fitting the
nut.
