| You still need to figure out why it became inactive. I've never heard of Pd crapping out after hydrogenating a normal olefin, under reasonably mild conditions. It should be reusable many, many times. Does your substrate or product contain any functional groups that would be likely to poison Pd? What contaminant might be present from a prior synthetic step that's crapping up the Pd? You can't ask a question with no background information, and expect the world to randomly guess ways to solve your problems. Life just doesn't work that way. You have to do the legwork, and once you can ask a very specific question, you'll be much more likely to get help.
