I am doing "spring-cleaning" :-) in the lab and it seems to be probably the first cleaning in last 10 years. :-( I found huge secred reserve of HAT MEDIA Supplement (Sigma Aldrich, #H-0262, Lot 24H9414) in our freezers. The supplement is lyophilized and stored at -20*C for at least 5 years, but rather longer (I was not working here that time so can not say exactly). The current field of interest of the lab is quite different and we can not use the HAT MEDIA supplement. Thus I need to know if I shall through it away right the way because it is too old or may offer it to other departments. Sigma Aldrich guarantees only 1 year for this product but I guess it stays much longer in a good shape. Just HOW long? Does anyone have a personal experience?
Thank you for any response,
