Default MTT assay

Hi,
I'm doing MTT assay. Usually cells convert yellow MTT into dark blue particles and show dark blue under microscope. However, there's one cell line in which part of the cells was dark blue and the other was pink four hours after MTT was added. They have been continuously cultured for 3 days. In the first day they showed dark blue after MTT was added. However, after 2 or 3 days, part of it turned into pink after MTT was added. All other cell lines were dark blue.
Anyone has any idea what it means?
Thank you very much for the help!
