| are THP-1 Cells or Macrophage cell culture resistant to Mycoplasma infection or other bacterial infections? Personally, I can NOT belive that they are resistant to bacterial and mycoplasma infections, because there are lot of diseases related to mycoplasmas. In my Lab there are two persons who say constantly that THP-1 Cells(Monocytes) or Macrophage cell culture are resistant to Mycoplasma and they eat Mycoplasmas. I wonder how to convince them because I am a new PhD student and they think they are right. They have sent to me this low cited paper: An improved method for elimination of mycoplasmas from cell cultures. by H Kreipe - 1987 - Cited by 2 |
