Default Cell culture: Initial Cell number

i just conducted an experiment for my university project entitled: Effect of glucose on Chlorella vulgaris in heterotrophic culture. i ran 5 treatments for the experiment as in attachment 1 Attachment1.jpg. after analizing my data, i found that my initial cell number for the control (represented by blue line with 0mg/ml of glucose) of the experiment is much higher than other treatments (refer attachment 2Attachment2.jpg). how can i explain this in my report? please help me. thanks.

I am not sure I am reading the graph right but adding glucose decreases the counted number of cells?

IE at 0 concentration of glucose up until the highest number of days you have the highest cell number?

fyi, i prepared the medium first before add the microalgae cell into the test tube. the graph i attached there is the treatments with cells cultured in pH9.... but for pH7 (graph not attached) i have approximately same initial cell numbers....is it still that glucose decreases the cell number in pH9...?
