| I have just received frozen HepG2 cells from ATCC and thawed them and they are (hopefully) growing away in the incubator, but they do not come with a recommended seeding density, nor a recommended subculturing density. Looking at published studies there are quite a range of seeding densities used, and no mention of when to split. Also, when do they reach confluence/full maturity? Thank you Tatiana |

| Hi Subculture at 50-70% confluency, otherwise they clump too much and hard to separate even with trypsinization. These can grow with sugar and water they are so hardy, but keep them happy with alpha-MEM or DMEM and 10% FBS. |
