| alright so i need to prepare this plant extract for my HepG2 cells. I've grounded the dried pulp... my problem is that the main component of the extract should be the tannins, and i'm afraid that the sugar/protein content of the fruit extract might interfere with cellular metabolism. so, my target is to try and remove (at least) the sugars from the tannin mix so it would not affect cellular metabolism, because i am assuming that a high concentration of sugars might kill the HepG2 cells. any advice on what i might be able to do? i'd want to know if a simple solvent extraction of the fruit pulp and administration of some milligrams/mL media on the HepG2 cells would be okay. thanks much in advance |
