Default cell death

Dr. Thomson suspected that the new drug X could cause liver
damaged via apoptosis. He gave you some hepatocytes isolated from his patients.
What experiments you propose to do to answer the following questions? Give your
interpretation for the results of each experiment.
Does drug X cause cell death?
If yes, whether the cells died via apoptosis?
In addition to cellular apoptotic morphological changes, is there any other evidence
that can be used to demonstrate the apoptotic cell death?

Default Re: cell death

simlpe! culture the cells given and treat the cells with various concentrations of drug for various time periods.
u can see whether they r dying or not and also note the ic 50 values

do the caspase assay to know whether they r dying by apoptosis.
